Midtown Square MFTE/MHA Income Requirements

Multifamily Tax Exemption (MFTE) and Mandatory Housing Affordability (MHA) homes are available at our community. These income-restricted programs require additional income and asset verification to qualify.

Income and rent limits vary depending on household size and unit type.

Compliance Team Reaches Out

Once your screening is complete, our Compliance team will contact you directly to begin the MFTE/MHA process.

Submit Verification Documents

Compliance will work with you to collect bank statements, pay stubs, and any other verifications required to determine eligibility.

Approval & Lease Start

Once approved, expect your lease to begin within 10 days of Compliance approval.

Full-Time Student Requirements


Undergraduate Students

Must have need-based financial aid. Required documents:

  • FAFSA or WASFA
  • Financial Aid Award Letter from your institution confirming need-based aid has been accepted

Graduate & PhD Students

Provide one of the following:

  • Need-based financial aid verification (same as undergraduate requirements above)
or
  • Most recent tax return showing independent filing
